Arntz | van Helden acquires Krijgsman
5 September 2017
Van Ameyde subsidiary Arntz | van Helden acquired Krijgsman Expertises | Taxaties (loss adjusting and asset valuation) on 1 September 2017. The contract was signed on the same date by René van Dijk, managing director of Arntz | van Helden, Carl Berends, CFO of Van Ameyde, Sjoerd Krijgsman and Priscilla Krijgsman-Ligtenberg, both members of the board of Krijgsman Expertises | Taxaties.
Both Arntz | van Helden and Krijgsman specialise in technical loss adjusting and surveying. The acquisition falls within the scope of Arntz | van Helden’s and Van Ameyde’s strategy to strengthen the niche business portfolios. Thanks to the acquisition, Arntz | van Helden and Krijgsman can both meet the growing demand for their highly specilist expertise.

Krijgsman will be integrated in Arntz | van Helden’s organisation as from 1 October 2017. After the integration, which does not result in job losses, Arntz | van Helden will be 26 strong. René van Dijk will be heading the organisation as managing director.

Arntz | van Helden is Van Ameyde’s technical loss adjusting company. Its diciplines vary from hull & machinery, marine cargo and marine new building to land-based equipment, CAR & Property All Risks, machinery breakdown and electronics. Krijgsman’s loss adjusters operate in the same areas of expertise. In addition, the company has developed a prevention programme for land-based equipment insurers and conducts investigations in their capacity as judicial experts in the areas of mechanical engineering, the (Dutch) Working Conditions Act and the CE Machinery Directive.
